Why Deposits?

When you come in to book an appointment at Classic Tattoo for me or any of the other artists, you’ll be asked to leave some money up front for a deposit. Deposits are pretty standard now in this industry. They are our insurance that you are as serious as I am about showing up for your appointment. Also, if you were planning on getting a custom piece, chances are I have spent time designing it for you, so I’ve already done some work for you. When we set aside an appointment time for you, that means those hours are now unavailable to other potential clients. If you decide the morning of your tattoo appointment that you have cold feet and don’t show up, the deposit becomes compensation for time lost. I work off of commission so if you’re not there, I don’t get paid.
Here’s all you need to know about deposits:
Deposits are non-refundable.
I require 48 hours notice for a cancellation. If you cancel with proper notice, the deposit is transferred to hold your next appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, the deposit is forfeited and we will ask that you leave another deposit to hold all other appointments.
The amount of your deposit is taken off the total amount due for your tattoo. If you have set multiple appointments, the deposit is retained until your final appointment, where it comes off the price of that last appointment.
Effective immediately: the cost of the deposit is now $100.
I accept cash, Visa and Mastercard for deposits.
If you have further questions about deposits or anything else for that matter, please feel free to contact me through this site, or at Classic Tattoo at (530)273-6499.
Thank you!

These Days…

I know it’s been a while since I last posted. Mostly I’ve been decompressing from the road trip and lining up the pieces for my next move. My plan is to open a private studio in between 3-6 months. I’ve been busying myself by tying up loose financial ends, seeking prospective spaces and perfecting my vision of what my space will look like. I’m primarily looking in the Sacramento area for now although somewhere closer to the Bay hasn’t been ruled out. I’m sure that for those that know me, it’s no secret that one day I hope to fly this valley coup for prettier skies. Anyway, this plan may encourage me to be a little reclusive in the coming months as it’ll be my main focus.

Speaking of the Bay, this last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Concrete Blonde live at the Regency. They were resurrecting the Bloodletting tour. That album pulls on so many melancholy, nostalgic heartstrings I found myself a little weepy more than a couple of times. I was simultaneously awed by Johnette Napolitano’s powerful yet down to earth presence. So anyway, yeah, that was awesome.

Thank you!

I’d like to share my gratitude to all those that called in last weekend for appointments and to those that have expressed interest in my work! Without you, I would have no canvas! I mean, I guess there’s always regular canvas, but it’s kinda boring and doesn’t tell amazing, inspiring, funny or sometimes tragic stories. Sooooo…yeah.

The next three months look very promising! I’m excited to start some very cool new projects, get to traumatize some new victims…that’s always fun. As some of my regulars know, between the needles and some of MY stories, you may never be the same. I’d say “scarred for life”, but that just doesn’t bode well given my profession. Speaking of regulars, I look forward to diving right back into your pieces and moving them closer to completion.

For those of you that are interested in getting work done and maybe missed the call in dates, please contact me either online or give the shop a call. I can always put you on a cancellation list or maybe scan my schedule to see if I can work something out with you. The number at Leonardi Tattoo is (916) 973-1016.  Thanks again to all of you!

Upcoming Booking Dates…

I will be conducting my next booking days over the phone, this coming weekend, May 15th and 16th. I’ll be booking for June, July and August. I will disclose the number to reach me at closer to the weekend. I’ll be taking calls from 10a.m.- 5p.m. both days or until my appointment times are filled. If I don’t answer the phone, it will be because I’m driving (still on the road trip) or I’m on the other line with another client. Please leave your name and number. I will return calls in the order I receive them.

For clients with on going projects, your standing deposit will be applied to your final appointment date and will be used to hold your time(s). Besides that, you guys pretty much know the drill.

If you are a new client and haven’t already contacted me about your ideas for your new tattoo, please do. You can write me here or on Facebook.  I prefer to know what your thoughts are on the design before I book your appointment(s).  This is to ensure that I am compatible with your design. Sometimes the tattoo idea is not a good match for my abilities and style. In that case, I’d like to redirect you to someone more fitting for the job. Also, knowing the basics about the piece allows me to determine an estimate on how long it will take to complete the project. That way I know how many appointments to set aside for you.

Also, for new clients or clients beginning new projects, an $80 deposit is required to make an appointment. This deposit will be held until your final appointment, where it will then come off of your total cost. You may pay using a credit card over the phone. Please do not leave your personal credit card information on my voicemail. Please wait until you have me on the phone. Also, if you don’t have a credit card, please let me know so we can make other arrangements.

I look forward to hearing from you! I’m excited to continue working on your projects with you. I am also jazzed about embarking on new journeys with some new folks. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for choosing me as your artist!
