I think this is my favorite dragon so far. Thanks to my client for agreeing to go for the gold.
Lady in the Lotus
We're only like an hour and a half into it here, so not very far along. I'm coupling realism with traditional to create higher compositional contrast.
...And this is what we put over that old devil dog. We're not done with this piece. This was just the first session, so we still have to throw in some more detail, a little color and balance out the dark patch and then we'll continue on with his full body suit. JK!
Gee, I wish I could take credit for this one, but noooo. This is a doomed piece of art that's now covered up. I usually forget to take the "before" shots, but I guess for once I had the presence of mind to take this one.
This is a work in progress. We've done another session on it since this picture was taken but I haven't developed it yet. Yes, I said developed.
This little guy is the beginning of a back piece depicting one woman's journey from depression to vibrant health. We're using chrysalis and butterfly imagery to illustrate transformation. We've got a long way to go!
This one was done on a close friend of mine while on the road in New York. He's interested in expanding this lonely flower into a full sleeve. Many thanks for letting us hang out for so long at your home!
