Tuba City, AZ

Hey all! Well, Luis and I ended up here after our 5 min Grand Canyon tour. Okay, it mighta been a little longer than that. See, we had this really cool idea about camping on the Juniper Loop close to the Grand Canyon Village. We’re ahead of schedule so we planned on staying a couple of days. Lucky us, we made it just in time to witness a beautiful sunset over the South Rim of the Canyon. And then it got cold. Like stupid cold. We made our camp, Luis cooked up some killer coconut soup, and we went to bed. I think we both figured in time, our body heat would warm our sleeping bags. Didn’t happen. Around 4ish in the a.m., I called out to Luis from my little camper shell. Asked him if he was awake. He said yeah. Asked him if he wanted to go. He said yeah. Not only yeah, but HELL YEAH. We broke that camp down quicker’n you could say freak lightning. On our way out we were blessed to spot not only a white deer amidst his or her more ordinary colored family, but the sun cresting over the Grand Canyon, illuminating a new day. It’s a new day indeed. And so now the road has brought us here, to Tuba City. See ya on the flip.
